Nearly 200 artists, designers and architects were asked to send proposals as to how they would interact with the iconic rotunda, housed in Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum, for the museum's 50th anniversary - Contemplating the Void: Interventions in the Guggenheim Museum.
